What? It's February!

First of all why is February, FebRuary? I think it's buggy. Also I can't believe January is over I still need to make my year goals concrete instead of just thinking things are good ideas to work on. Also that means a month of school has gone by and I havn't posted a single thing about it. Last but not least I haven't posted any pictures from the annual Curtis New Years Party!

Ten years ago we decided to start a new tradition of making New Years Eve fun we started throwing a party and having a different theme every year. We've done the acadamy awards, survivor, cowboy, vegas, chinese new year, halloween, luau, and birthday bash themes this year we did a fun food party... this means we had great food- a chili cook-off, rolls, and dessert. We also played some food trivia games. Oh and every year we have everyone dress up some how this year we all wore aprons.

We also made cheeto creations! This was a big hit for all ages. Can you see that big bag of cheetos in the background- my brother and sister and law brought those up from Mexico for our wedding present, we decided instead of gaining 30 lbs each we would make sculptures out of cheetos!

We also had people guess what baby food
And last but not least...come on down your the next contestant on the Price is Right!

The Cute Sebresos Family

Happy New Year from Drew and his lovely assistant...and don't forget to get your pets spayed or neutered.

Um I just read that on the calender today, about getting your animals fixed, so that there aren't as many homeless animals. What? I didn't know this was like a "thing" like MLK Day or something.

LOVE your party ideas. HOW MUCH FUN! And you are wearing a FLIRTY APRON. ha. so cute.

Looks like you had a great time. Wish we could have been there. As for your February question. This is according to grammarerrors.com

This is probably one of the most commonly mispronounced words in the English language. The r in February has been dropped so that it is almost always pronounced Febuary–without the r. Perhaps this is because placing the r sound in the word makes it slightly more difficult to pronounce, and since laziness tends to get the upper hand when we speak, Febuary has become the common pronunciation. However, despite this, the word is correctly pronounced February. The English language has enough silent letters as it is. Remember to keep the r sound in February.
